Visit the Cicero Historical Society and explore the places, people, and stories that shaped our community.
Our museum complex at 6453 State Route 31 in Cicero includes the historic Stone Arabia Schoolhouse, the Log House, the Museum & Learning Center, and the site’s historic outhouse. Together, they preserve a broad view of everyday life in Cicero—from education and early settlement to agriculture, transportation, family life, and community history.
The Stone Arabia Schoolhouse, built in 1854, served generations of local students and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Log House preserves an example of early hand-hewn log construction and was reconstructed at the museum complex after being saved from demolition. The Museum & Learning Center houses artifacts, documents, photographs, tools, records, and changing displays related to the history of Cicero.
Museum Open Houses are held on the second Sunday of each month from April through November, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Cicero Historical Society meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Museum Complex. Visitors and those interested in local history are welcome.
The Cicero Town Historian is also available at the complex on selected Saturdays for Cicero Stories, research questions, local history conversations, and the sharing of photographs, documents, memories, and family stories. Dates and times vary, so please check the Events page before visiting.
Whether you are researching your family, exploring Cicero’s history, sharing a story of your own, or simply curious about the community around you, we invite you to stop in and spend some time with us.
